Recognition of examinations
Inability to take exams
The examination regulations stipulate that you can withdraw up to 1 week before the examination without giving a reason (you can withdraw from the examination yourself in the online system), after that time the reason for withdrawal must be proven.
Inability to take an examination due to illness is an important reason that justifies withdrawal from the examination. Previously, a medical certificate of incapacity for work (AU) was sometimes accepted at the HS Mittweida to substantiate the inability to take an examination. For reasons of equal treatment and legal certainty, the previous administrative practice will be standardized. As of March 1, 2023, medical certificates of inability to take an examination will be accepted to substantiate the inability to take an examination due to illness. Submitting a simple AU certificate is not accepted.

Other reasons for withdrawing from exams, such as accidents, deaths, etc., must also be reported to Student Services and documented with evidence. The deadline of 5 working days for submission also applies here.
